Inland Transportation
Inland transportation from port to project site
Safe and efficient cargo transportation across Vietnam: road, heavy haul, inland waterway and last-mile delivery right to the project site.
The last leg is often the hardest
Industrial and energy sites are often far from ports, with narrow or unfinished access roads. For project cargo, the inland leg decides whether equipment arrives in time for installation.
GLOGIMEX combines road and inland waterway, choosing equipment per unit and route conditions so cargo reaches site safely and on schedule.

Challenges
What the inland leg must account for
Unit size and weight
Cargo beyond legal limits needs specialised equipment and circulation permits.
Route conditions
Bridges, culverts, overhead lines and site access roads can restrict the options.
Site receiving conditions
Laydown area, lifting equipment and delivery timing must match the construction plan.
Inland Transportation
Inland transport modes
Road
Containers, general cargo and project cargo on suitable trucks, tractors and trailers.
Heavy haul
Specialised equipment, transport engineering and permits for oversized and overweight units.
Inland waterway
Barges for large units or where road routes are restricted.
Last-mile delivery
Coordinating the final leg and receipt with the site team.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
When is waterway better than road?
When units are too large or heavy for the road route, or when the site is close to a river or port. Barge legs often reduce risk and route modification costs.
Does my cargo need a circulation permit?
Yes, if the loaded vehicle exceeds the size or weight limits under Circular 12/2025/TT‑BXD. You can check quickly with the tool on our Heavy Haul & OOG Transport page.
Do you also move containers inland?
Yes. GLOGIMEX road transport covers containers and general cargo, not only project cargo.
